On The Way

Seven years ago, I started a job with a labor union that provided me a place for opportunity and growth that should have been unattainable for someone like me.

The cliché would be to say I came from ‘humble beginnings’, but I think it is more accurately articulated as ‘pathetic beginnings’. Without trying to squeeze in an autobiography, the circumstances of my birth and subsequent childhood were fraught with errors from all parties involved. Blame is equally distributed in my family, so no one alone holds responsibility – except me, in cases, but that’s for another time.

As a youth, I was of the perspective that I would not live past 25 years old. Now, at 33, I am delighted to have been so wrong. Life looks better than it ever has, which is a funny thing to say, considering I lost my job, my health insurance, and was diagnosed with a handful of severe medical conditions all within this year. It took a mental breakdown to push me out of the nest and send me careening onto solid ground, and now that I have a sense of self again, I plan on using it for exclusively nefarious purposes.

When I write, I feel connected with the core of my mind in a way that has been so removed from the daily experience in the imperialist core. I hope to continue to find that bliss and share it with others who are seeking worlds beyond today that others deem impossible. Please join me as I write in hopes of creating waves and friction enough to start floods and fires that will reshape our hellish landscape.

With Love and Solidarity,

R. J. Tenace

I’m glad you found some self and depth.there are millions of those who never will, maybe it comes from your beginnings what ever you captured from them .

    Keep it up
